The British Museum porcelain

In our one hour workshop 30 people listened to a performance of Chinese traditional music whilst sitting amongst the porcelain:

  • Jasmine Flowers
  • Moonlit Night by the Spring River
  • Purple Bamboo Melody
  • The Moon Reflected in the Second Spring
  • Lake Honghu

Each piece had a story and the group gave their responses after listening. We then created 4 short pieces using their ideas and performed with the musicians. The effect was very moving and it felt like something of the porcelain and Chinese tradition communed with us.

Thank you too two fantastic musicians Cheng Yu and Mr Chen.
